I wasn't very obedient . I didn't back as far as suggested. I left the right door open, and stood leaning out of it.
The cattle didn't go where they were meant to either. When the corral was opened they bolted off south, across the road in front of me, and back into the brush. The riders came hot on their heels, one after another, like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I still had a film camera in those days, and couldn't see what images I'd caught until I was home and the film was processed.
